A Few Note Cards

Along with Christmas Cards, I have working on some note card sets. I have 4 cards in each little matching folder. The folder opens out like a book and the envies are on one side and the note cards on the other. What I don't sell at the show next week, I will be posting to my Etsy shop for sale.

These little birdies were fun. I stamped the image and then I colored them in with watercolor pencils.

Christmas Card Creations

I have been busy the last few days creating Christmas Cards and such for a show that I will be doing next week. The show is at a cute little place in Flint Springs, California, just outside of San Diego.
I thought I'd share my creations.

Birthday Present for my Sister

Here is another crack at doing a collage with faces. This one is for my Sister's Birthday. The collage is done on canvas board that measures 8" x 10". I painted with acrylics in various shades of purple. I used a stamp for the verbiage. The little girl's clothes are made out of paper and I trimmed her collar with lace. A few pieces of purple tissue paper, some paper circles and a little purple flower for her hair.

In The Fall of My Years

This is a birthday present I did for my girlfriend. It's the first time I've done an acutal face. I've always done my faces more impression style. After drawing out my woman, I painted the canvas with warm colors of golden yellow and some warm red. I then went on to paint the woman. I cut some leaves out of scrap paper and glued them on. The white pieces on the canvas is melted plastic bags. It adds some texture to the background. The butterflies came next and then I used beeswax to cover the picture. Next came the yarn to outline the hair and face. Lots of fun and overall time to complete was 9 hours. Hope you enjoy your birthday present Pam!!

Round Robin Art Journal - How Great Thou Art

Round Robin Art Journal
It's all about free expression. My want is for other artists to "play" in my book. Be creative and the sky is the limit. I'll be sending this off to 11 more artists. I can't wait to see what my final book will look like.

Beeswax Collage ATC Swap

These cards were done for an ATC swap on the Yahoo PaperTraders Group that I belong to. I have the most fun creating backgrounds for my ATCs. The background was created by adding gold tissue paper to some card stock, then I stamped some circle stamps with a red stamp pad, then I stamped with a "marble" stamp with brown stamp pad to give it the veins. I applied the images and words then used an encaustic technique. Next I applied my 3D elements while the wax was still melted. After everything was dry, I buffed the wax and gave it a little shine.

Lovely Lady with Lilacs

Encaustic Collage:

Measures 5" x 7".

Anniversary Charm

This is one of many charms I have made for a swap on a Yahoo Group I belong to. The name of the group is abc_alteredbookclub.
First I cut the paper into a long triangle. I put some glue on the paper and rolled it on a dowel. Let it dry and then embossed it using a leaf pattern stamp. After all was dry I put it in melted ute powder to build it up and give it a glass look. I took a head pin and jump rings to complete the charm.
There you have it.
