New Tip In and Round Robin Pages

These pages are for Beckie's Hands Book. I chose to do a piece around Mother's Hands. We were to choose an adjective and use any medium to decorate your spread depicting those types of hands.

These pages are for Connie's Book. Her theme was the Artist Pallet where we were to Choose a palette of 3 -5 colors that reflect something in nature that "speaks" to you. I was missing the beautiful scenary of Utah.

These Pages are for Pam's Tip In book. Her theme was Birds, Nests, and Eggs.

These pages are for Marion's Tip In book. Her theme was Zetti. Marion said Zetti stamps/images of course, but anything weird will do - and a number should be included; should be colourful plus b/w. I decided to do mine on The 1 Eyed 1 Horned Flying Purple People Eater. This piece was really a stretch for me and I'm please with how it turned out.

Squash Book

I've been playing around with the squash book technique. This book unfolds and there are plenty of places for photos and journaling. I created this book for my Mom's friend. It's a Blessings book. People can add blessings to the pages. I created a few tags with ribbons to give it some embellishments.

A Few Note Cards

Along with Christmas Cards, I have working on some note card sets. I have 4 cards in each little matching folder. The folder opens out like a book and the envies are on one side and the note cards on the other. What I don't sell at the show next week, I will be posting to my Etsy shop for sale.

These little birdies were fun. I stamped the image and then I colored them in with watercolor pencils.

Christmas Card Creations

I have been busy the last few days creating Christmas Cards and such for a show that I will be doing next week. The show is at a cute little place in Flint Springs, California, just outside of San Diego.
I thought I'd share my creations.

Birthday Present for my Sister

Here is another crack at doing a collage with faces. This one is for my Sister's Birthday. The collage is done on canvas board that measures 8" x 10". I painted with acrylics in various shades of purple. I used a stamp for the verbiage. The little girl's clothes are made out of paper and I trimmed her collar with lace. A few pieces of purple tissue paper, some paper circles and a little purple flower for her hair.

In The Fall of My Years

This is a birthday present I did for my girlfriend. It's the first time I've done an acutal face. I've always done my faces more impression style. After drawing out my woman, I painted the canvas with warm colors of golden yellow and some warm red. I then went on to paint the woman. I cut some leaves out of scrap paper and glued them on. The white pieces on the canvas is melted plastic bags. It adds some texture to the background. The butterflies came next and then I used beeswax to cover the picture. Next came the yarn to outline the hair and face. Lots of fun and overall time to complete was 9 hours. Hope you enjoy your birthday present Pam!!
